Dashboard Window in Motion

On my laptop, I cannot open the Dashboard window at all. I have my item selected, and I have tried opening it from the menu and the toolbar, but it will not come up. It works fine on my desktop, but will not come up at all on my laptop. I have even tried reloading Motion.

Does anyone have any ideas why it will not come up?

with your layer/action selected, simply press "d" on your keyboard. see if that works
