freeze frame from FCP4.5

Hey folks,

I tried to freeze a portion of a clip in FCP only to export it to Motion 1, only to have it run the entire clip in it's entirety.

As a caveat, can I alter the timings of a clip in FCP (time re-mapping) and keep those properties once exported to motion?

Speed changes applied to clips in FCP will not import into Motion. You can export a self-contained movie and use that. Or, if you just want a freeze frame, you can do that without applying a speed change by shift-N.
