export form FCP 5.0.4

hey guys,

I have part of a sequence i am trying to export to motion2 for text animation. I have set the in and outs, selected the section to export, right click and "send to" motion.

Labeled the project, set the correct destination....

Then i get an error "wrong file type"


does anyone know what this means.

The project is there in finder. i can open the project in motion(through finder, does not load auto), but final cut wont roundtrip the project.

Is there a setting in FCP 5 that i am missing. I have never had this happen in any other system.


I have tried reloading FCP 5 and still same error.
