White Only Canvas

When I launch Motion 2, I only get a white canvas. I assumed I merely had a setting wrong somewhere.

I just purchased Getting Started with Motion and loaded one of their starting projects and I still just get a white canvas. It seems to play, but nothing shows up.

I have a Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5, 5 GB DDR2 SDRAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 in Slot-1 and a GeForce 660 LE in Slot-2 and three 17 in Samsung LCD monitors at 1280X1024@75Hz running off those two cards.

Am I just out of luck on the video cards (Apple says the 6600s work, the book says you need 6800s)?

Any ideas?
