I have a film with statues. I need to have a statue turn its head and smile. Any suggestions as to how to turn the head and create a smile?

3D animation! That is the way to make an inanimate object - animate!

There are a couple of 3D programs, but you are talking a lot of learning time to replicate the original statue in 3D.
