Sure you can. The ATI x800xt or the radeon 6800 are good choices if you can find them. I've use both in that same machine. The radeon has a 4K texture limit as opposed to 2K on the ATI, but it also takes up two slots due to the cooling fins. But then it will drive two 30" monitors and the ATI will only drive one. So tough choice.
