First Person Shooter is a type of video game, where you navigate through a CG 3D space hunting and killing your enemy. The screen shows the game players point of view.

ok, thanx

so, applied to a Motion course, it means navigate in 3D between elements (long story short) with the point of view of the active camera.

and if somebody can help me with Putting English on the ball ! smiling smiley

(it's in an other Apple Motion3 course doc in the 3D Particles lesson)

In a first persone shooter, you navigate through the 3D space using the arrow keys to move forwards/backwards (up/down arrow keys) or left/right (left/right arrow keys). These keys allow you to move the camera (what the viewer sees) through the 3D space in Motion.

"Putting English on the ball" is a term from billiards. It refers to making the cue ball spin slightly (so it follows an arc rather than a straight line).

Hope this helps.
