FCP trouble importing from Motion

Please Help
I'm in the middle of a project and I can no longer use the Motion- Master Templates under the Effects pull down in FCP. I've thrown away my preferences in FCP but still no luck. I've been using these NTSC templates for the past year without a problem and now I get a noise pattern on the screen when I try to access one of the Motion Templates. I'm using FCP version 6.0.4 on a MAC OSX 10.5.6. I'm using Motion 3 upgrade- version 3.0.2.
Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with Livetype. I traced it down to the blackmagic component in the quicktime folder. Try taking it out of the folder then launch motion, the replace the component back after it has launched. this worked for me with live type
