How I met your mother - IntroPosted by stukes21
Does anyone have any knowledge about how to put something like this together (see below). I realize I need to Photoshop the files I want to use to get them ready for a job like this and cut out whatever I want to use.
Can Motion do this with layering. Any guidance on putting a piece like this together would be awesome. I figure there is a tutorial out there for something like this. I just can't find it. Any help would be really appreciated. Link to the intro is below
I will check out the tutorial DVD. thanks for the help.
Anyone else spot a tutorial for something like this - especially the "flying through" photo effects. Here is another example of what I am looking for. [tinyurl.com]
stukes,
This is a pretty involved process utilizing hi rez stills & Photoshop to cut out foreground elements, put them on their own layers, painting the background layers to fill / close gaps, spread them out in "Z-depth" and animate a camera around the space. I am not yet on Motion 3, but I do this all the time in After Effects. There's no plug-in for it...it's a lot of work 3D Sample Spot (CLICK HERE) (pulled down - sorry) See if you can pic the still shots from the footage - Joey When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade.
How did you find this?! Extraordinary. Digital Juice has and explanation for how this is done: see CUTTING CLASS, Moving Pictures. [www.digitaljuice.com]
I think 3d Studio Max or Maya is up to it.
You'd have to break up each and every picture up in photoshop and create a 2D object for the cutout in 3ds Max; and then position all the 2D elements for foreground and background. It would be a pain to do; but it has been done! grafixjoe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > stukes, > > This is a pretty involved process utilizing hi rez > stills & Photoshop to cut out foreground elements, > put them on their own layers, painting the > background layers to fill / close gaps, spread > them out in "Z-depth" and animate a camera around > the space.
