need help - creating a color with RGB values

Please help me on this one:

I need to match a color, for which the client has supplied me with the RGB values. How on earth do I do that in Motion? (Note: I can't match it by eye, because the information is in a black & white booklet)

Pretty easy - for what every object you are applying a color - text, shape, etc - click the color swatch to open the color window, select the sliders icon, then rgb sliders, and type in the values. You can then drag the color from top bar to the bottom grid to save it for later use in any application that calls the OS X color window.
