Pointer keeps turning into hand tool

Don't know why, but there's an object in my project that when I click it with the pointer to move it, suddenly the pointer turns into a blue-outlined hand tool that moves my whole canvas.

Anyone know why? Once it happens, every object I click behaves the same way (turning the pointer to the hand tool) until I quit and restart.

Is the object glitched somehow? Is there some setting I don't know about?
