Motion Project won't play in FCP

This is my first effort using motion so please bear with me....I made a short sequence in motion using a couple .jpg and one of the provided templates. Nothing complicated. When I export it and then import it into FCP I can see the animation play in the canvas but only see a freeze frame on my ntsc monitor. The FF changes to match where I am on the timeline when I start and stop but no motion. I exported it as a QT movie/animation. Thanx Barry

The animation codec has a HUGE bit rate, much too much for most drives to play back - it's an intermediate codec, not meant for playback. You should either export to the settings of your FCP sequence, or better yet, don't export at all - just import the Motion project file itself directly into FCP, edit it into your timeline, and render.
