Have lost my Utilty Window!

Some advice on this please?...
When I open Motion (3.0.2), there is no Utility Window!
It was fine and all of a sudden i'm stuck.
The Canvas, Project and Timing Panes are there and functional.
But there is NO UTILITY WINDOW to the left.
(and so I cannot access the File Browser, Library and Inspector!!)

ICONS in the top Menu: HUD... Project and Timing work fine.
...however,... File Browser, Library and Inspector icons are dead!
... also, Add Filters and Add Behaviors gone (or hiding?)!!!

I can open a project OK, open an image...
but there are no tools to work with, cant find Filters or Behaviors!! Very weird.
I have tried Window>Layouts and Manage Layouts. They do not respond! EEEK!!
Any ideas? thanks.

Tom, Thanks for the F1 idea. Shoulda worked. Didn't. :-(

It works if you have a project open, and if your keyboard has been set up properly to use the F keys in applications. Did you do that?

I think you are on to something here...
Ironically, I fixed that very problem on my wife's Panther...
As I recall,
I opened Sys Prefs, went to Keyboard & Mouse... and there was a box to check/uncheck.
however...
I have Tiger (OS 10.4.11) and I cant find the same menu option to designate F1, F2, F3, etc.

Can you be more specific about exactly where to go to set the pref to confirm

It's in the Keyboard panel of System Preferences. There's a check box to activate it, but it depends on the keyboard you're using.

a. That option box is NOT shown in *my* Sys Prefs > Keyboard

b. Even if I might need a new keyboard ... still...
it seems weird that Motion -- and some but not all of the F keys --
were working just fine up until a couple of days ago...
and then, sort of out of nowhere, I couldn't (and still can't)
locate/access my File Browser, Library and Inspector panels!! ... or Behaviors and Filters!!
YIKES!

Window>File Browser (Cmd-1) doesn't work for you either even when you have a project open.

If the Utility window is gone, you need to trash your preferences to get it back.

1) Quit Motion.
2) Navigate to User/Library/Preferences.
3) Locate com.apple.motion.plist and delete it.

That did the trick. Trashing prefs.
First time I ever did that. I feel so grown up. :-)
