Text Bounding Box

I set some type in Motion and added a simple text behavior fade in.
In the middle of the types timeline I added a GLOW filter that I keyframed to just flash up and out quickly.

The problem is the glow filter stops hard at the text's bounding box. Makes the glow have a hard square edge.

How do I expand the text's bounding box out far enough to make the Glow diffuse naturally?

Apply the filter to the text's group layer instead, select the group layer, and then in the inspector under the group tab, check the fixed resolution box.
