Timeline erratically changes.

Timeline erratically changes.

Hello Everyone:

Whenever I move, add, delete, or alter the length of any given layer in my timeline, every other layer changes timing.

This is ridiculous. Apple "experts," as usual, cannot even understand what I am saying let alone properly address the issue, yet, this problem -- for all practical purposes renders editing, or alteration of anything in Motion impossible.

I have started new projects (built entirely on a new timeline) with no pasting, etc.; still whenever I move a layer in the project all the other layers in timeline still shift. Even master layers shift when I move sub-layers.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any ideas?

Thanks,

How can I possibly build anything in Motion when whenever I change anything I have to go back and reset every object in the Timeline?

I have never hear of this problem (and I thought I'd heard everything). What version of Motion are you running? On what hardware, what OS? And have you tried trashing your preferences?
