Arbitrary disappearing Mask parameters

Using motion 4 - doing basic masking and need to tweak the feather

the Mask tab in the inspector often remains blank when I select my bezier mask

it's perfectly arbitrary - doesn't matter which tool I select with (select or adjust control points) - sometimes the parameters are available - sometimes not

there are two masks in the shot - when I switch back and forth between the two I have a 50/50 chance of seeing anything in the Mask tab.

am I missing something?

Haven't seen this behavior myself - I'd try trashing prefs:

1) Quit Motion.
2) Navigate to User/Library/Preferences.
3) Locate com.apple.motion.plist and delete it.
