Motion anamorphic settings

Hi

I set my preset in motion to Pal (720 x 576) Anamorphic pixel 1.42 and
open the project. I check. Yep Anamorphic Pal.

I draw two rectangles and add the word GO etc and export to the desktop.
I want to do this so I can manipulate it in FCP motion later if I want to

I superimpose this to the project which is also in Pal 720x 576 Anamorphic
but the rectangles and the word appear top still be in 4.3 mode.

When I just export a scene straight to motion and do the round trip it comes back
correctly but its cooked with the scene. Is this a quirk or am I missing something.
What is FCP telling motion settings to do that I am not. They appear to all match

Sometimes FCP misses the anamorphic flag on Motion projects. Just select the Motion project in FCP's browser (or timeline), press command-9 to bring up item properties, and add a checkmark in the anamorphic column.

I just couldn't see it. When I did the round trip no problem but when
I used the exact same motion file in ' save as ' it was 4.3.
Sure enough, as you say, the flag was not checked.
So. as long as you stay in the circle it has its instruction to send and
receive anamorphic material but when you export the file separately
as ' save as ' it has no sequence instruction and the flag doesn't check
( as you say ) or doesn't check every time.
Anyway thank you again. Mystery solved.
