Photoshop element problem

Hi,

I'm trying to get a Photoshop element into Motion, and it won't import.

My client sent me something on a blue background, and I needed to get rid of that background and create an alpha channel. So, I opened it in photoshop and used the magic wand tool. Because the image was a little complicated, I couldn't get rid of the background very easily. I found it easier if I turned it into a larger image, at 300 dpi. That made magic want work very well. I then resized the image to 72 dpi, in an NTSC-sized frame. But now, Motion won't allow me to import the image.

Is there some basic setting that I am missing?

Thanks!

If you left it as a .psd, you need to make sure the color mode is RGB, not CMYK.

Or, if you only need one layer with transparency, save it as a .png with alpha.

The color mode was the solution. It had been in CMYK. I knew it was some little detail I was overlooking. Thanks!
