I need a way to choose a font, and that is what I mean by scroll.

So far in Macworld, I have to select a font, say nah, reselect typeface, say nah again.

It is taking forever, is there a way in motion where I can scroll through my choices
like the way you can in Photoshop, 3ds Max, etc.

In the HUD click in the font popup. The font list appears with the fonts displayed mouse down in the font list and scroll through it and the select text will change instantly to the selected font as you scroll. It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but it's really sweet.

Or in the library under "fonts" select to view icons instead of list and all the fonts will appear with a capital A and a small case a.

Do you mean use the center mouse roller? Because on our mac this does not work.
As I am not mac savvy I have no way to bring this functionality to the mouse.
