Exported Footage from FCP 7 wont open in Motion 4

Hi all

Im having an ongoing problem with my system and I cant figure out what else I can try

Whenever I have a section of footage within a Final Cut Pro 7 project that is open, I can easily send the footage to Motion 4 to have some work done on it. However once this section is sent back to FCP and further work is done on the section in FCP (such as a filter being applied) I can send it to Motion but when Motion opens up there are no files present in Motion

Does any body have any ideas why this might be happening and if so what on earth can I do about it?
