sub clips to STP from FCP5

I cut the whole show as usual via subclips then reassembled in timeline.. All tape captures with mono audio capture presets. Timeline unlinked audio.

Double click on the subclip and it pops into its own sequence window. Send that to STP and I get the whole sublip not just the sound bite I've cut into the show. No way to see edited clip ins/outs.

fyi... I've marked in/out before sending to STP.

Only one audio track shows in STP, video is fine. Subcllip has A1&2

................and while we're at it here.... I could not get the whole show into STP without converting all mono tracks to aiff. I tried nesting in new sequence and sending to STP as is..not aiff(none of the audio appered)
This is crazy making. What to do? larry jordons tutorials make it all looks so easy. are there training dvd's out there that deal with these alternative issues?
