FCP to STP - How do you just edit the clip you chose?

This sounds like it should work automatically

When you chose "Open in Editor" from the FCP TL or even SEND TO SOUNDTRACK AUDIO EDIT SESSION....

It opens in soundtrack and opens the entire clip - not just the section on the timeline you want to work with. The only work around I've found is to export that section of the timeline to Soundtrack Pro from the file menu.

Did you highlight that clip before choosing - Export to Soundtrack?

I thought that was the way it is supposed to work?

I did but for some reason when I say open in editor (or even send to Soundtrack Pro Audio File by control clicking the audio) it brings the entire master clip into Soundtrack..
