Cleaning Up a Voice Over Track

Cleaning Up a Voice Over Track

Is there a way to export a single audio track (actually stereo pair, but NOT a full soundtrack of several FCP tracks), made up of numerous sound clips (about 50) from FCP for editing as a SINGLE Soundtrack Pro clip that I can perform a 'pops and clicks' and other analyses on?

Basically I'm trying to scrub and clean up a multi-clip voice-over track as one Soundtrack Pro File. I have managed to export the FCP track to Soundtrack Pro, but only as a track of 50 clips. Performing the cleaning up operation on every clip is a PAIN! I gave up at the second clip smiling smiley

Logic tells me there must be an easier way. I've now cut my teeth on FCP and am now just getting into Soundtrack. Any help really appreciated....

Cheers, Nick

If anyone is interested I solved this challenge by:

1) Copying the VO track only to a separate sequence in the FCP project
2) Exporting that sequence as a full soundtrack
3) Importing that soundtrack file into SoundTrack Pro
4) Editing that single file as a audio file

This worked really well and I was able to perform all sorts of analyses and fixes and compressors etc on the original voice overs. This resulted in a really clean VO track which I then imported back into FCP.
