I have a 2 hour project with hundreds of audio files that have between 1 and 4 channels. Only one channel from any given clip appears in the multi track editor but when I select a clip, all of the channels appear in the file editor. When I try to apply a processing effect, they're all greyed-out. Disabling the unused channels doesn't do any good - nor does just selecting the channel I want to modify. I don't know of a good way to automatically discard ALL of the unused channels in the project as the documentation only explains how to work with only a selected channel when initially bringing the clip into the multitrack editor. I'm about to re-export from FCP using OMF, which presumably won't send over the unused channels... but by doing this I won't be able to conform, which is something I'll likely need to deal with. Anyone know of a better way?
UPDATE: Only happens when there are 3 channels. 1, 2, or 4 channels - the effects are not greyed-out.
