Media Offline

I am very new to soundtrack. I exported out of FCE to soundtrack. I went into soundtrack and tried to open the file but it was grayed out. I went back to FCE and exported it again- using the same file name and replaced the old one. When it was done exporting, an error message popped up. I then looked at the timeline on FCE and half of my video files are now displaying the Media Offline screen of death. I would like to know A) How to get those files back online and B) how to export the right way. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated it. Thanks

Does Soundtrack come included with Final Cut Express? If so, is FCE guaranteed to export to other applications as FCP is?

I am assuming that FCE has Reconnect Media in the menus to do that?
