Interrupt round trip?

Soooo I send my project from FCP to STP. In STP I double click on an audio clip in the timeline and it opens up in the editor. I do some noise reduction. I click back on the tab that has my main project in it and see how it sounds with the other clips. Satisfied I click the next clip and edit it. Rinse repeat. It's late and I need to stop for the night. I save my main project and quit STP. Today I load up STP and load my (sent) project from the recent project list once again but none of my edits are there.

What am I doing wrong?
