applying effect to multiple clips

If I don't apply an effect to an entire track but rather individual clips, why can't I select several sequential clips and apply the effect to all of those clips at once? It seems as though you can only apply an effect to one selected clip.

Am I missing something or is this a major design flaw with the application? I'm assuming the former.

Never mind. The lift and stamp tool did what I needed.

It's a pretty cool idea. I wish Pro Tools had that.

I selected the Lift tool from the tool bar above. Then I clicked on the clip whose properties I wanted to copy. That brought the effects into the little Lift Tool window. I then clicked on the clip I wanted to apply the same properties to. It seemed to work out fine.

I should probably read the manual.
