Reconnecting a clip in the timeline

Somehow an audio clip, which had previously been sent to STP while it was still in FCP, is connecting to the wrong file. I have no idea how it happened, and now STP won't let me reconnect it to the right clip. When I select the clip I want to reconnect, that option in the "Clip" menu is grayed out.
