stpro will not output a file with the volume changes

I did some work on an audio file within stpro. Then exported the file ' save copy as'. But the volume changes I made to it by key framing with the volume control under the wave file window did not export with the changes. I've tried it more than once and none of the files export with volume changes. Am I missing something when trying to export the file?
