Can not monitor VO threw headphones-

Hi All --

This is the first time I am trying to do VO using Sound Track Pro-

I am trying to monitor the VO using my head phones while recording
the VO - and I get Zero audio threw the headphones till
I replay the time line-- I hear play back fine -
I have tried both front and Back headphone outputs-

I have the audio maxed out on all the controls that I can find and I
just hear Zip while I am doing the VO-

I have searched the Forum and not found the answer
I have also looked threw the STP Help and have not found the answer-

I am using a Sennheiser Me64 with a K6 with battery-

My Mac is a Dual 2 gig PowerMac tower 2.5 gigs of ram-OSX 10.4.11
FCP 5.1 -STP ---

I figure I must have not checked a box somewhere or something like that???
