I am selling 15 refurbished Hitachi 250 GB Deskstar drives with Apple
HDD Firmware-ideal for Xraid replacement needs. The drives are in
excellent condition with very low hours of use (under 8000). Mean

perform perfectly, guaranteed not DOA, were used in a regulated
server environment while in use. Recently replaced with larger
drives when upgrading.

The drives are available at $110 apiece.

Shipping UPS ground $12.50 per drive, $100 for all 15 drives.

Hi, Bob

Thanks for your offer.

These drives are extremely hard to come by NEW, notice that vendor is out of stock--probably permanently.

After a great deal of searching, the only drives we've come across to replace any of ours that have given us SMART alerts (we change them out if this happens, although MTTF is likely hundreds of hours away) have very very high hours, like 20,000+ hrs. This is a statistic I'm sure you know you can access via the SMART data.

Some vendors online sell those as "NEW" we've found out, from purchasing some of them and make it near impossible to return them for refund. The business above isn't listed on reseller ratings, so you roll the dice. FWIW, buyer beware, if you can get them new anymore. We've tried and have only found these units on Ebay for $160+ per drive. I'm sure you've done research to this effect as well. If you can find them legitimately for less, let's speak again.

Notably, these particular drives have very low hours and their use pedigree can be accounted for by personal vouching.
