I cut my project in HD 1920x1080 29097. That is also how I shot it...on a card. My question is, is it possible to make an actual HD DVD that can play on a regular dvd player that is hooked up to an HD tv? I had to burn my project in dvd studio pro in SD 16x9 format and then it looked like crap on my HD tv? I need to be able to play tby evarita - Café LA changing an already cut sequence to other settings OUCH - 10 years agoHi All. I think I made a bummer of a mistake so any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm using FCP7. I have cut a 1440x1080 sequence. The original clips were shot 1920x1080. I bet you can't believe folks are still making this mistake? Is there a way I can create a new 1920x1080 sequence and copy my 1440x1080 cut sequence into it without having it look stretched out and weird? And more impoby evarita - Café LA pro rez 422 and pro rez HQ - 11 years agoHi my friends. I am working on a project that had most of the media at Pro Rez 422. The producer was thinking that wouldn't be good enough for broadcast and want to upload the rest of the media at ProREz HQ. Is there a big difference in quality, and will they both work together seamlessly in the same sequence? thanks Happy Sunday Evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: End of FCP?? - 12 years agoHow do you like Premier Pro on a Mac? is it as good as Avid? thxby evarita - Café LA Re: End of FCP?? - 12 years agothanks everybody. Guess I'll keep it on Snow Leopard for awhile. Went to a recent Avid 6 demo. They are all about wooing FCP users, 64bit and 3D. No changes to any tools. I never thought that would be a problem but I get an error message that says, can't import pal assets into an ntsc session. I tried to see how I could change it to pal but saw no way of doing this. Any thoughts? I am able to use idvd but would rather not. thanks so much for your help. evaritaby evarita - DVD Studio Pro Re: Best output compression - 13 years agoOh. thank you. So what would you recommend for the highest resolution? DVD Best quality, 90 minutes?? thanks so much for your help. Evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: Best output compression - 13 years agoHi Jude, forget the whole tape part of the equation. It's a 64 minute movie shot on many formats but cut with a HDV 1440x1080 16:9 sequence in final cut 7. For the best resolution should I choose HD dvd H.264 90 minute for my compressor settings? I'm wondering what settings will give me the best res for playing back on a dvd? not blue ray, just reg. dvd. thx evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: Best output compression - 13 years agoJude thanks so much for your help. I think I finally get it, especially since you clarified pro res for me. Thanks for that. HDV compression it is. enjoy the night and thanks again. Evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: Best output compression - 13 years agoThanks. so then pro res LT will give me the least compression? I guess if I choose no compression a one hour show won't fit on a dvd? thanks again. evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: Best output compression - 13 years agoThanks. They are wave files. Oye. Evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: changing audio in timeline from 16 bit to 24 bit - 13 years agoYea I know and I did that. Changed the frame rate. Created a new sequence, etc. etc. Still just one big render line every time I make an edit. Oh well. thanks for you help on this. If you get any other ideas let me know. have a great new year celebration. Evaritaby evarita - Café LA Re: changing audio in timeline from 16 bit to 24 bit - 13 years agoWell I tried this as well as changing the sequence settings to 24 bit. Still needs rendering. Do you think it has to do with the other audio option under sequence settings, config, grouped, stereo, downmix? I have it on grouped. Thanks again. evaby evarita - Café LA Re: changing audio in timeline from 16 bit to 24 bit - 13 years agoThanks I'll give it a whirl. Evaby evarita - Café LA Re: changing audio in timeline from 16 bit to 24 bit - 13 years agoNo. The sample rate is 48. I actually tried creating a new sequence with 24 bit and that didn't work. any other thoughts??? thanks for your help.
