Original 1920x1080 sequence was 23.98.by joeboo20 - Café LA Photo Montage SD DVD - 9 years agoHi All, I'm creating a photo montage for a friend. I mistakenly created pans and zooms in a sequence 1920x1080. If I switch to 720x480, will I need to re-create the motion of each photo or an easy way around this? Photos looks enlarged in the new 720x480 sequence. Thank you.by joeboo20 - Café LA Re: Agree or Disagree: Cutting w/ Media Composer will provide more jobs and higher pay? - 10 years agoWith Editshare Lightworks around the corner(especially Mac), I can see a lot of educators/institutions going w/ this NLE. 2 reasons why: 1. Price...free! even the pro version with the additional codecs for $60 is quite a bargain. 2. Screen credibility. Hollywood Blockbusters including Oscar winner, "The King's Speech" was cut on it. I got the chance to talk to and see Scott Hiby joeboo20 - Café LA Re: Agree or Disagree: Cutting w/ Media Composer will provide more jobs and higher pay? - 10 years agoThank you Shane and joe. I'm actually starting w/ the 30 day trial and following Kevin McAuliffe's, 84 lessons on "Learn Media Composer" over at Creativecow. Any supplementary books/material you would recommend in addition to this? Shane, any leads or contacts in the area you might know of looking for an Apprentice/post-PA? Thanks!by joeboo20 - Café LA Agree or Disagree: Cutting w/ Media Composer will provide more jobs and higher pay? - 10 years agoThis is more for the LA market but would like to hear from other markets as well. I painstakingly started editing w/ Adobe Premiere 5.0/5.1. Once Final Cut Pro was available, I've been using it since version 7(11 years). With FCP7 EOL, I jumped back to Adobe Premiere CS6/CC(5 months now). Being in the LA market, I see a lot of job postings for Avid Media Composer(and still FC7) and starting toby joeboo20 - Café LA Re: 4K TV's, but few 4K Cameras?? - 10 years agofor 4K broadcasts and feature film on demand, at what size screen will the consumer actually start seeing a difference between 4K 4096 x 2160(or Ultra HD 3840 x 2160) vs. a 1920x1080 monitor? I can clearly see it at my local Sony Style with their 84" 4K TV but I probably would never own a screen of that size. Of course viewing distance comes into play as well.by joeboo20 - Café LA Re: Checklist: Larry Jordan's FCPX Seminar tomorrow, July 12 in Burbank - 12 years agoJohn, agreed. it was an informative event and Larry is a great teacher! Remain with FCP or switch? - 12 years agoLooking what direction LAFCUG members are going as they're editing tool of choice? Continue editing with FCP 7 but learn FCPX and wait until it matures? Completely switch to Avid or Premiere Pro with their great promo going on right now? Something as big as this, though no live feed, I would hope it is to be videotaped as in past LAFCPUG meetings to be viewed at a later date? Anyone confirm this?by joeboo20 - Café LA Re: Best way to follow the Supermeet at home? - 13 years agoMike, Being a huge event with hopefully an epic announcement, will there be cameras shooting the event that will be later be able to be viewed online or on disc for the many of us not able to make the event? I was thinking of going with a 21.5" LCD to keep things more portable and closer to the Macbook Pro's screen size or a 23-24" computer monitor but it maybe too big as a second monitor to the Macbook Pro's 15" screen? I was excited about the news, being frustrated with my Light Blue Powermac G3 350mhz Adobe Premiere system which would often sloooow down and crash on an 8-10 minute proby joeboo20 - Café LA Re: Your thoughts on Boris Graffiti - 14 years agoThank you Craig.
