I followed the directions in the Manual, but there is still one hitch: I was able to open Compressor and add the 6.1 (7 Channels) of Audio using the "Add Surround Sound" button successfully. (Version 3.0.5) In Compressor, I chose the "QuickTime 7 Compatible" -> "H.264 LAN" setting and then tried Customizing the Sound Encoding as follows: Under Audio Settings, I chose: AAC and 6.1 C L R Ls Rs Cs LF. In FCP I ordered theby rdomalpalli - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Compressor corrupts Quicktime Source and generates Split Frames... - 16 years agoHi, I'm using Compressor 3.0.2, and converting from a Quicktime Source that's in the AJA Kona 1920x1080 23.98fps Codec to Mpeg-2 for DVD Authoring. I have a G5 running Mac OS X (10.4.5) Dual Proc 2.7GHz; 8GB Ram I used the Best Case Template in the DVD Encoder, and changed just the Average Bit Rate to 5.5 and the Max to 6.6. Other Settings were untouched. I find that exactly 21 seconby rdomalpalli - DVD Studio Pro "New Job" in the Compressor remains deselected.. - 16 years agoHi All, I find that I am not able to add any new Quicktime movies into Compressor. The "New Job" menu item remains deselected. Any idea why this might be happenning? I'm using Compressor 3.0.2 (Final Cut Studio 2) on an Mac Book Pro (Intel) Thanks in advance. I have a Quicktime File in "AJA Kona 3 1920x1080 Codec" and my Editor needs the Apple Uncompressed 1920x1080 422 version. So I'm trying to Render out. I'm using FCP 6.01 and Quicktime Version 7.2.0 on a Macbook Pro. I just tried to Import a DPX Image Sequence into FCP using the Gluetools plugin, and I found that the Image looked Horizontally Squashed. I'm still at a loss though since the Progressive Scan looked bad on my Computer Monitor - and I would imagine that a Computer monitor shouldn't have trouble with that. My original Source was a DPX Image Sequence that I converted to Quicktime Movie using Graphic Converter, and it was in thiby rdomalpalli - DVD Studio Pro Converting PAL to NTSC Mpeg-2 causes Jagged Edges and Unstable Images... - 18 years agoHello, I have PAL footage that I'm trying to convert o NTSC MPeg-2 so that I can write out a DVD. I find that the images have Jagged Edges especially on lines/ borders that are Not-Vertical. The Image as a whole appears unstable and seems to flicker. Movement (that of Characters) appears very stuttery. The Average Bit Rate when compressing was set to 6.7MB/sec and the Max was set to 8.2.
