Not registered? Click HERE to register now New Mac Pro - 10 years agoIs anyone using the new "coffee maker" mac pro? My mac pro's are 7 and 8 years old and getting a little worse for wear. I understand that FCS 3 will run on mavericks. Is this a workable solution or is this a run, forrest run situation? Also, is anyone using X with any success? While they may not accept responsibility for his actions they certainly don't want to deal with anyone who operates that way. ESPN has become a really big organization with a bunch of "affiliated" companys such as ESPNRT. I'll give FCPX some time to get to where is needs to be. I think Apple is making a bold move to refine the editorial tools we use on a daily basis and my be onto something here. I really like AutoMotion. It's saved the lives of countless, clueless, indecisive producers. Keylight works well too. When I launch media manager I get the beach ball of death for about 20 seconds then FCP crashes. Doesn't seem to happen with smaller projects. The project file is 167mb. Any ideas? I exported a 6 channel movie for my audio guy yesterday. And I just loaded the 6 channel sequence that I used to export the movie into my viewer and have all 6 channels present and available for use. I am using FCP 7, however as memory serves me the same functionality is available in FCP 6. Perhaps I doby Joe Brown - Café LA Re: Blu Ray Drive - 14 years agoOK. Went with the Vance plan. I have an older Mac Pro which has an IDE superdrive. This means that there's a little more to installation. There is a SATA connector on the mother board under the fan housing. Not too much trouble to remove, however apple did a good job of hiding a screw under a lip on the fan housing by the heat sink for the processor.
