Click HERE to register now Blackmagic playback from timeline to HD monitor. - 13 years agoMac Intel OS 10.6.8 FCP 7.0.3 I am unable to view HDV footage from my timeline on my HD monitor using a Blackmagic Intensity card as output. The 1440:1080 is grayed out. All captured footage is displayed as 1920:1080. I was struggling with this problem a couple of weeks ago but had to go out of town before a solution. Your help would be most appreciated. Thanksby Grant - Café LA Re: HDV playback on HD monitor? - 13 years agoI was switching between component and HDMI from my Black Magic card. This did not work so I removed the Black Magic card but still no image on the monitor. When I 'print to tape' after conforming the images run through the Sony deck and I see the footage on the monitor. I cannot get the grayed out 1440:1920 to light up so that I can select it. Sony HVR-M1OU deck is recognized by the system. I can capture in HDV. I can also conform the timeline footage and record to the Sony deck. 2. I am unable to see thby Grant - Café LA FCP Scrolling titles - 13 years agoMac Pro OS: 10.6.8 FCP: 7.0.3 When using FCP scrolling titles feature the rendered font is not sharp with clean edges. I have tried the font with drop shadow and without. I am using Lucida Grande thinking that this might give me a sharper look. It doesn't. Is there a preferable font to use for FCP scrolling or is there another method of scrolling that would look better? The process that you outlined works great. This saves me a lot of time during the initial capture process. Thanks again.
