Well there is a difference between markers and chapter markers. (Just in case you made the same mistake as I did) Press m twice to get the dialogue window up instead of just pressing it once. My workflow is export from FCP to QT Uncompressed. I import that file to DVD SPRO and encode natively in the application when I build. Johanby Johan Polhem - DVD Studio Pro

Hal thanks again for your help. I did the tutorials and I managed to get it to work - almost. My problem now is that if I am at a menu and press "menu" on the remote, (Hoping to get back to the previous menu) the DVD instead jumps back to the last played track. Sound out of sync - 16 years ago
Just made a DVD of a concert recording. Its 1 hour long. The sound slips a few frames right from the start and seems to be out of sync for the duration of the DVD. There is nothing wrong with the actual file - it is in sync. Why is this? Can it be fixed?by Johan Polhem - DVD Studio Pro

Hey Guys I tried posing this in the DVD SPRO section but could not get a response so I figured Id try it here. A bit new to DVDSPRo scripting so this may be a simple question. i have made a DVD with several submenus. I want to be able to skip straight from a track and back to the submenu. There is quite a bit out there that you can license, but as Derek mentioned, it wont be The Beatles. You'd be surprised though - some of it is well known and good. I had a library in my old office in Australia with famous 60s tracks you could buy. I know how to do it in Australia but I have no clue for US. Let us know how you go.by Johan Polhem - Café LA

Hey Guys A bit new to DVDSPRo scripting so this may be a simple wuestion. i have made a DVD with several submenus. I want to be able to skip straight from a track and back to the submenu. Thats pretty much the exackt machine I have been using for a few years now. To be honest, the difference between that machine and the new ones at work is not that great. Its not like comparing a G5 to a G4 - not even close.by Johan Polhem - Café LA

I would go for a cyc. keying takes time and if you shoot on digital the results may not be perfect. Chroma keying also demands more from your gaffer. Also, Mini DV and HDV especially are almost impossible to key to perfection. Shooting on a white cyc will be cheaper and easier and definately without a doubt - produce a better result. You have 2 options: Letterbox or cut the sides off to fit 4:3. Either one of them should take you no more than a few seconds in FCP. Yes, there is. Problem is you can only set it BEFORE you import your media. So if you have already started grading I recommend you save the grades, start up a new project, then reimport the footage and then re-apply the grades.by Johan Polhem - Color

Guys. I have an issue with our broadcast monitors. We have been having problems where the footage we grade in our suite looks great, but when broadcasted on TV it looks like crap. Is too dark and too saturated. I just dont understand how to calibrate the monitors we have? I can use that blue gel to look through but that makes it much much worse and we cant adjust the HUE or Phase shiby Johan Polhem - Café LA

In Syd I get about $400-$1000/day depending on the job. Fulltime you'd get about 70 - 80K in OZ if you are good, about 40k if you're a junior. In Norway i charge about $110k/year and I work less.by Johan Polhem - Café LA

You probably have a setting ticked that separates your capture into different clips on timecode breaks. So the separation apepars when there is a brake in your timecode. These breaks can also happen if the drive you are capturing to is too slow.by Johan Polhem - Café LA
