The previous editor (before leaving) cut the whole film using the scratch audio from the camera and didn't bother to sync it to the production audio which was recorded separately. What you you guys suggest as the fastest way for me to get the production audio synced up to the clips in the timeline? I would love any and all suggestions.by ElysianChris - Café LA Re: FCP Display Gamma Problem (Everything Dark) - 13 years agoI changed the gamma profile under Display and that did the trick! Thanks. Somehow that got changed to HD-709. Don't know how that happened, but changed that out fixed the problem.by ElysianChris - Café LA FCP Display Gamma Problem (Everything Dark) - 13 years agoI recently let system update do it's thing and went from 10.6.4 to 10.6.6 including updating to the latest Pro-Kit. (The Pro-Apps (FCS 3) were all updated to the latest version while one 10.6.4). Suddenly FCP, DVDSP, & Motion show all of my video files extremely dark (STP & Color are show them fine). It's as if the gamma those programs are using to display the image has changed. (Quby ElysianChris - Café LA Re: FCP video out is darker then After Effects video out. Problem? - 19 years agoNo they aren?t stills, it's good old video footage. I'm exporting from FCP as a QuickTime and importing it into AE. There are import options in AE, but I don't see anything about the 7.5 IRE boost. I also did a quick lookup on Google and didn't see anything for AE regarding an option for that either... doesn't mean there isn't an option... unfortunately I can't seem to find it. FYI the deck iby ElysianChris - Café LA Re: FCP video out is darker then After Effects video out. Problem? - 19 years agoThe FCP timeline/codec is blackmagic 10bit. It is being output via firewire though a DV deck to the broadcast monitor. FCP is using "Apple FireWire NTSC (720 x 480)" as its video playback settings. After Effects is using "Apple FireWire NTSC" 720 x 480 as its output for video previews. I can guess that it's not the best to be running uncompressed video out via the firewiby ElysianChris - Café LA FCP video out is darker then After Effects video out. Problem? - 19 years agoI just noticed that when viewing the video out on my monitor (Sony Broadcast) that the video is much brighter in After Effects (using the video preview on the broadcast monitor) then it is in FCP5?s video out. This concerns me as I color corrected the video using FCP (which would mean the darker image). After bring the video into AE and seeing the much brighter image I?m confused as to which onby ElysianChris - Café LA Increasing gain without increasing artifacts/grain on DV footage. - 19 years agoHopefully someone can help with a dilemma I?m having. I?ve got some DV footage that I?ve shot that is a little too dark. I?m trying to increase the gain somewhat (not much, but a little), and currently using Magic Bullet for Editors to do it. (I like its results better then the standard FCP color corrector). The problem that I keep running into is that the moment I try to increase the grain, Iby ElysianChris - Café LA |
