Has anyone projected footage shot with the iphone 4s onto a large screen. I am assembling a video shot by many people using their own phones, which, after I cut it, will be shown at a banquet on large ( 10 foot-ish? )projector screens. I am concerned about how the footage will look. In reality, the key looks to be just fine w/o too much futzing. And as always, even w/o the extra monitoring, testing etc, the actual shooting time required expanded to fill our studio time exactly. Amazing!by paul kelleher - Café LA Green Screen multicam learning the (kinda) hard way - 12 years agoShot an industrial green screen, using 5D and 7D, 3 cams, thinking get all the coverage I need, wide medium, close in 1 fell swoop. It was just two actors not too much movement. I cut it together before keying and the 3 cams made it very easy to multicam cut. Then I put in the background photo. OOPS! I needed input to the macbook. We got it figured tho, just using standard monitors, cam monitors etc, skipping the macbook input. I know this is a common problem. I dont know if its fixable or if its a bad green screen shoot. I can get a decent key on the woman when still, but on playback the edge of her hair looks buzzy fuzzy, vibrating. I've toyed with all the controls, read and watched tutorials, but I can't get it much better. Any suggestions? Thanks PS. "If I have an LCD monitor setup thru a Matrox mini box, do I still need an NTSC monitor also?" Can I dump my NTSC CRT? Or do I still need it to confirm titles on interlaced footage etc?"by paul kelleher - Café LA format for change log - 13 years agoI'm recutting a movie, working with a writer/ footage finder, producer etc. I'm trying to come up with a working document to identify intended changes, changes made, etc. Something that the writer can fill in to identify changes, than I can make the changes and note it on this same document, so all will know what is going on by looking at this shared document. And yes I meant with a monitor. So, for clarity, what you are saying is: 1. For HD via the Matrox MX02 and a monitor, no NTSC monitor is necessary. Even on interlaced HDV, I can check titles on an LCD? 2. Why wouldnt you use the matrox for standard def? Thanks for weighing inby paul kelleher - Café LA Matrox mini vs NTSC monitor - 13 years agoHi all- I am looking at getting a matrox mini box to allow HDV monitoring. My current setup is fw out to a sony HDV deck to an NTSC monitor.
