Not registered? Click HERE to register now Sony HVR M15U not dected by FCP 6 - 14 years agoAfter months of work all of a sudden FCP 6 will not detect my Sony HVR M15U. Any Ideas on what the problem might be would be appreciated! I'm running on a Powerbook G4 15" 1.56 GHZ and 2 gigs of RAMby pducoing - Café LA Re: Operation not allowed: out of memory - 17 years agoThere are no slashes,periods or symbols on any of the file names of the sequences or any of the media. I can export quicktime, and it shows up pefectly, I just can't open the sequence to make changes. I exported as an xml and imported it again and I get the same error. I exported as an edl but when I brought back in the media is way off and so is the audio.. Any other thoughts? I get that window when I try to open certain sequences in a folder, some other sequences on the the same folder do open and others don't... Resetting cache disk or trashing prefs does not seem to do anyhthing. This has been an issue since the last FCP update for me, anyone else ? How should the sound be brought in. Do I need to change the speed of each sound clip to match each take and by how much. Is it better to edit at 30fps or 23.97 fps, since the purpose is to go back to film. I completly agree that it is more efficient to sync during telecine anby pducoing - Café LA Help on 35mm workflow.. - 17 years agoIt is my first 35mm to be cut on FCP and there are some snags that I already predict. The director has decided that in order to save some bucks the sound will NOT be married to picture during telecine. All sound will be recorded on a nagra instead of dat (pros/cons??) Every other picture I've cut (16mm shorts) the snd was recorded on dat and has been layed togeteher during telecine. I know there is no one click to make it look good but so far I've tried lower sound quality and using only 12 fps instead of the full and even at 360 X 240 it still stays at almost the same relative size (+ , _ a couple of megs) , forget 720 X 480! I will llook for the book and start reading on it! If you or anyone have any other advise, I'd be greatfulby pducoing - Café LA Making good quality exports! - 18 years agoCan any one tell me the secret of makking a good export for web, like Apple's commercials and all the trailers on H.264 or other codecs. When I try I have to decrease size andn loose video res. just to make it small enought as far as Mb's. Any helpfull info would be greatly appreciated. Pabloby pducoing - Café LA |
