At the moment I have 4.5GB RAM installed in my Mac but if I check my "Activity Monitor" while I'm running FCP5. I see that my Computer is only using around 1-2GB RAM and FCP only 800MB?!. In FCP the Memory Usage is set to 100% "2560MB" which I understand is normal since FCP5 is not 64-bit yet. But how come isn't FCPby Shaggy - Café LA Re: Memory Question - 18 years agoHi, yes I also have notice this, but how is it possible to change Memory Usage from 2560MB to a higher number? Also, I noticed in the Activity Monitor that FCP only grabs a portion of memory 140MB Real and 860MB Virtual Memory. Which gives me only 3,50GB free RAM. So how can you have FCP access more RAM, or will FCP do this on its own? But the main problem I have is, when export a 4 min longby Shaggy - Café LA |
