I loaded the hdv footage into FCP5 and edited. Now I want to download back to the A1U. Cannot get the camera to accept the video signal. Is the model A1U not capable to capture hdv from my G5? thanks for any input that gets the job done Alby rvideo2 - Café LA motion problem with imported jpegs - 18 years agoUsing FCP 5.1 - After importing scanned jpegs (scanned at 300dpi) to fcp timeline, adding key frames to the picture to create motion, I see interlaced artifacts in the picture. By adding a gausian blur filter the interlacing is better, but the pictures are not as as stable as they were in fcp 4.5by rvideo2 - The Bug Report Re: Making simple menu in DVD studio pro. - 17 years agoAgain, use a ready made template from the inspector and delete the buttons that you do not need. To delete a buton you highlight it and use the "large" delete key to remove it. The ready made templates can be modified or added to as you wish. In response to another reply you received regarding using QT.mov for input and encoding: A self contained QT.mov is a very solid way of saving yoby rvideo2 - Café LA Re: dissolving from still to nested sequence? - 17 years agoAll the answers are correct; however, one issue has not been metioned. Being that you do have to trim (ripple back) each end of the nest to allow handles for transition, it is wise to make your nest one second longer, at each end, so when you ripple back you still have the content that you intended for the edit. If you need more buttons, hold down the option key and click on an existing button and drag it to an open area of the templet, release and you will have an additional button.by rvideo2 - Café LA Re: IMPORTING MUSIC FROM ITUNES - 18 years agoI don't waist CD's when I need a song from ITunes. I take the Audio Out jacks to my speakers and connect to my DV decks audio input, then I down load the song to tape and use that as my Input to FCP. If I want the song on a CD, I export an AIFF file to the desktop and then to "Toast" Al Edit Overloadby rvideo2 - Café LA Re: Toast 7 no video - 18 years agoJude: Yup, that was it. It worked just fine when I removed all markers. Thanks \Alby rvideo2 - Café LA Toast 7 no video - 18 years agoI imported a QT(self contained)mov into toast and set the parameters to DVD-video. After "Toast" compressed the file and burned to the disk, I played it back and was surprised that only Audio was on the DVD . . . NO VIDEO! What did I miss in the set up??? Al Edit Overload rvideo2@yahoo.comby rvideo2 - Café LA Re: quicktime movie - 18 years agoWhat I do is: 1. mixdown the audio 2. make a "self contained" QT mov 3. drop the QT mov into "Compressor" to make ts files and a dolby sound file. This also allows control over quality and file size. 4. OR import the QTmov into iDVD or DVDSP and let the program do the compression. However, the compression will be CBR and allow only 90 min or less.by rvideo2 - Café LA Re: Crap quality MPG2 DVD Pro - 18 years agonot only does the compression look bad, but it takes forever to compress, especially if you ask compressor to use good quality. For any project around a hour in length, I use QT movie and let Studio Pro compress it.by rvideo2 - Café LA Re: problems rendering - 18 years agoFirst, as always, dump your fcp prefeerences and restart your computer. Then try rendering small selected portions of your sequence. I have found that a corrupted transition can result in a sequence not rendering. By rendering small sections you will hopefully find the portion that does not render and the corrupted part of that portion that is causing the error.by rvideo2 - Café LA import multi audio tracks from XL1 - 18 years agoI have a DV tape from a XL1 that has (4) four recorded audio tracks. Two stereo tracks from the camera mic and two tracks from an exteernal wireless mic. How do I import all of the tracks when logging in the video via firewire? Alby rvideo2 - Café LA |
