I'll look at getting the FCP X version.by Cinefile - Café LA FCP HD Studio 6 - 11 years agoI recently bought a Macbook Pro with OS 10.7.5. An opportunity to buy two very inexpensive used copies of FCP has popped up. One version is FCP HD Studio 6 and 2 upgrade from Studio Pro. The second version is Final Cut Pro v. 4.1, plus Final Cut Pro HD v.5.1. Will any of this work with OS 10.7.5? Thanks for any info you can provide.by Cinefile - Café LA Want to rip DVD, post video on YouTube - 12 years agoI am interested in taking a 30 minute program made using Final Cut a few years ago and putting on YouTube. I no longer have the original QT movie files; I just have the DVD of the final program. Does anyone have good experiences with a particular company? Thanks. C.by Cinefile - Café LA Re: Audio distortion: is convolution reverb filter helpful? - 18 years agoPoint well taken. Is there software on the market that will help me for those sections where the clipping is less notable? I can't throw the material away, and I don't want to spend hours upon hours using ProTools to draw the curves of each clipped waveform. I would like to salvage what I can, if there is some software that can help. Thanks.by Cinefile - Café LA Re: Audio distortion: is convolution reverb filter helpful? - 18 years agoHey, Koz: I wish I could push the project off to someone else, but I own it! So no flu for me, unfortunately. What is the anti-distortion software for if it doesn't aid with clipping? C.by Cinefile - Café LA Audio distortion: is convolution reverb filter helpful? - 18 years agoHi, I have got a messy situation: I recorded an interview where four separate people were miked to two different cameras. The sound from the mics of the two main people in the interview went through an improperly set Shure mixer to the camera, so they show A LOT of clipping. The sound from the two mics which went straight to the other camera show no clipping, but the voices of the two main inby Cinefile - Café LA Re: audio drift on long vhs taping - 18 years agoDerek, I don't understand why you would perform an audio mixdown twice if you've already performed a mixdown when taking the edited FCP file into a Quicktime movie format. Is it just standard to perform this every time you output to tape or as a movie? The footage must comply with tv broadcast standards. I work with FCP 3 on a G4. I'd like to know from those with color correction experience: 1. I have heard that LaCie is problematic, but I didn't think this was one of those issues. You are right, better to play safe and only have one device at a time. Thanks.by Cinefile - Café LA Re: Capture problems - 18 years agoThanks, Shane, I will keep an eye out for that card. What I don't understand is why in the past I have sometimes been able to have both devices connected, capture and at the same time save to other firewire device if I only have one functioning fw port.by Cinefile - Café LA Capture problems - 18 years agoHi, I have been having problems capturing from my DV Camera to FCP 3.0 (I use G4). I use firewire cable for the connection. Plugged into the other firewire jack is a firewire cable that goes from my tower to the external HD. When I have both firewire cables plugged in to their respective devices, FCP just doesn't want to capture DV. However, when I unplug the firewire to the external HD, it wiby Cinefile - Café LA |
