But can I take a HD project and export it out to a Mpeg2 for a NTSC 16:9 dvd? I need to give a client a copy of this project on a DVD. I have tried to do it in HD but they don't have a system that supports it. Thanks for the helpby Johnnie - Café LA Re: Issues exporting HD for a DVD project .. media won't go into DVDSP4 - 16 years agoInteresting John I will try that. That was kind of my last resort idea. Probably as your suggesting is the only way to do it. Thank youby Johnnie - DVD Studio Pro Issues exporting HD for a DVD project .. media won't go into DVDSP4 - 16 years agoHi, I am yet to really do a DVD using an HDV product. I shot footage in HDV at 1080i 60 and have since edited the footage and need to deliver a DVD to my clients. I have tried several times now to use compressor out of FCP to make a HD timeline. Seems every time I do this I get this is a pal format or incompatible format. I went in and switched my preferences in DVDSP4 and it still does nby Johnnie - DVD Studio Pro Re: buying computer - 16 years agoThis is interesting for me cause I am a freelancer on a limited budget and have been told go lower on the processor go with 4-6 gigs ram and get the best video card and I will get more out of the machine. I still am having running debates over this method with some of my local mac buddies. I need the production for what I do just don't have the wallet for a huge computer.by Johnnie - Café LA Re: Image formats in final cut pro - 16 years agoI actually use the Photoshop format (PSD)at 16 bit depth. I find these work better then anything.by Johnnie - Café LA Re: Dark export issues with HD content - 16 years agoYour awesome Koz. The Gamma setting are helping alot. I played with them orginally but never tested the samples on the web. Bad Mistake on my part. So now i am redoing everything color wise. The gamma settings are helping alot so is the monitor set up. Thanks Johnby Johnnie - Café LA Re: Dark export issues with HD content - 16 years agoI will try that. I have a acer computer monitor and thats it. I work for a web production house that is extremely cheap. At home i have a monitor I might have to just take it home and fix it. I am having to export this as a WMV format for the client. ( not my choice) When I get the content out of the machine it looks fine once its on a server for for the client its dramatically darker. I am using flip4mac with a setting of 1280x720, 70% soft CBR of 3700 ( not my choice either). When I look at my export on the computerby Johnnie - Café LA Dithering problem using flip4mac - 17 years agoHi, I am working on a intel 2.67 with 5 gigs of ram. I am doing alot of wmv exports using flip4mac studio pro ( latest update version ). I am noticing alot of dithering and some mosiac looking quality. I am using batch export and using a bitrate of 1500 with a CBR single pass. going to 640x480 aspect ratio. The source tapes where shoot on a vx2000 or an FX1. We are only using the NAS as a storeage box for finished product so that other computers in the office can transfer and store from it. I am not editing off of it at all. Its all just a massive storage space really. I am just wondering if anyone knows of some sort of utility that will correct the file naming issues with it. I actually hooked up to the MAC much better theby Johnnie - Café LA file naming issue - 17 years agoHI, We just installed a Buffalo NAZ in our office and when I use the Intel to drop files on the drive I have a file naming issue. Say I put three files on the NAZ all of the files will change name to the file name that i click on. Does anyone know of a solution. The dealer is suppost to get back to me with a solution but its been a couple of and I really can't wait any longer. I was told itsby Johnnie - Café LA Re: Mpeg, WMV,AVI splitter - 17 years agoSorry, Generally the wmv or mpeg splitter cuts a file that has both a video image and a audio track. Say you have a .mov that is 20 minutes long. You take your file and load it into a spitter. Then the splitter will give you a time option and usually a MB option to determain your cuts. Once that is loaded in you walk away and 2-10 minutes later you come back and it gives you several clips thaby Johnnie - Café LA Mpeg, WMV,AVI splitter - 17 years agoHi, I used to post under the name sbjohnwe but I changed it. I went to work for a new company, this company wants me to split up my sequences using a splitter. I guess this is very normal on a PC. I have searched around and can't find a mac oriented splitter. Does anyone have any insight. I currently am not an Intel machine. Thank you Johnby Johnnie - Café LA |
