Sapphire. Pricy but they have a trial. Quicktime 7 Pro has this effect built in. You can also try any myriad of Grain packages out there.

Use click to flash. Hover over the top left of the video , right click and either 'download video' or 'open link in new window'. Using Safari.

You could use Magic Bullet Misfire or FCP's built in Bad Film plugin. Be aware MB render times can get ridonkulous on HD footage.

Try exporting you smooth cam clips as self contained quicktime and bring them back into a a FCP timeline on its own. Send that to Color, grade and re-insert back into your original timeline.

I have a solution that's out of left field, and that is take my noisy footage, export to image sequences in Quicktime and use Topaz DeNoise for Photoshop using Batch Processing Action in PS. Then join them all back up in Quicktime and re-import into FCP. It works BRILLIANTLY. Best noise reduction out there, and for $80 I get a plugin for PS that's useful for video too.

From what I can tell, you mark a region in to out and use Option backslash It cuts off the front and back of the clip and shuts the gaps. Anybody used/find use for this? Weird but slightly wonderful?

Judging from Michael Wohl's prezzo at the LAFCPUG meeting, Apple ain't going to take our feedback, they wouldn't take his so why would they take ours? *sigh* Well *if* they do (big *if*) please could they make the Command Editor easier to understand. They inherited a whole icon set from FCP 7. Use them so we can tell at a *glance* what we've got mapped on those keys.

Just Installed Final Cut Studio and ran software update to FCP 7.0.3 Also Eucontrol for Euphonix MC Color. All working fine. Couldn't get my Wacom to work though.

They are replaceable. However would you rate your skills against a certified technician? If you have Applecare, then you have no worries.
