CINEMA TOOLS POST EDIT QUESTION I'm film finishing a project cut in FCP 7. The media was ingesting skipping Cinema Tools, by just importing a mini FCP 7 project as "DAILIES" along with the QT files to link to. This was done by a 'telecine lab' (ALEs were also delivered) I'm turning over a picture reel to sound, but since there is no sound metadata in FCP and since Cinema Tools dby Superdude - Café LA

I'm going to install select applications from Final Cut Studio 3 on my MBP. I know I can run FCP 7. Anyone out there know if Cinema Tools runs on Yosemite? I need it for change notes. Thanks in advance -SDby Superdude - Café LA
program to batch process single frame jpegs into movs? - 13 years ago
I have a bunch of storyboards - single frame jpegs. I'd like to batch process them through a program to convert each jpeg into 20 second movs to import into FCP and cut without rendering. Any suggestions on programs or workflows? thanks in advance!by Superdude - Café LA
graphics files in timeline without rendering? - 13 years ago
I am cutting an animatic - a series of storyboards cut together with dialog and music to import into an HD project. (1920x1080). The boards are 1920x815 to accommodate for letterboxing. Whenever I build them into a sequence, the shots have to be rendered. I've tried different sequence settings and also different file formats for the boards - photojpeg; TIFF; PNG; etc - is there anyway to avoby Superdude - Café LA

Hey all These are great suggestions but since I've never used this other apps so it would be helpful if someone had a more specific answer like 'hey use Application XYZ - it's pretty straightforward... in fact there is a step by step guide on how to do an end crawl on the Editors Guild website'... Hey Nick Is there anyway to keep the formatting that is done in the word document - columns , centerjustification and have it translate over into photoshop? any quick tips on how to work with text -> photoshop -> retaining formatting and exporting PSDs? I haven't done much work with text in PS so any help is appreciated. thxby Superdude - Café LA

Hey Derek - thanks for your suggestions. More on my situation. The end credit list is continually being revised and I don't want the responsibility of managing revisions It would be idea is if I could take the formatted word doc from the post super with the up to date names and the formatting proofed outside of FCP then create a pdf and import that into Photoshop. Hey folks - I'm doing my first end crawl and I'd like some advice on how to go about it. I find FCPs scroll text rather limiting in terms of making columns, formatting etc. It's been suggested to use Livetype or Motion, neither of which I know. What about making the credits in an application like Photoshop? If I go the PS route what file type should I save as? thanks in advance! -superby Superdude - Café LA
jump from cut to cut in timeline V1 only - 16 years ago
No one I ask seems to know if this is doable but it's a very simple problem: I work with a lot of video and audio layers but I want to jump from cut to cut on V1 *only* The jump to next cut key jumps to every cut whether it be audio, etc. This makes it very time consuming to quickly jump through the picture cuts. thanks in advance!by Superdude - Café LA

Dumb question but can't find it posted in FAQS.... - I'm importing XMLS and instead of importing into the bin I have open, it just dumps the files into the "name"/first level. I have a lot of files/folders and to hunt down all the imports is inefficient. Also, how do you matchframe a multiclip so that it pulls up the original source file?
