Click HERE to register now Re: Strange Timecode. - 16 years agoI have a chase version of the entire cut, and know that the clips, so far as I am able to tell (I can't be 100% sure if I can't capture the clips), are the proper ones in the cut (EDL). I verified them with the acctually timeline on the Avid and it is all correct. I did aso verify that the timecode is the same as on the Avid itself as is in the EDL. After numerous troubleshoots I have concluded that FC is getting some sort of 'ghost' timecode from the EDL. I say it is 'ghost' TC because it is not shown in the EDL itself and only becomes visible when you drag the clip from the EDL/XML into the Log and Capture window to try and re-log the clip. It just doesn't want to grab the proper timecode. I know the JVC has a timecode break problem, we encountered it while shooting. But even if I log the the clip manually, it still won't go to the proper timecode. It's like the camera isn't sending the proper timecode over the firewire. When I got to capture it rewinds the tape 20 MINUTES before the in point then plays the tape normal speed till it reaches the clip to capture. Once done, even if the next clip is right after the first, it rewinds itself 20 minutes back and starts all over again. I've been trying to online a project for 2 days noby Jeff Kuss - Café LA Problems Batch Capturing w/ The JVC GY-HD110 - 16 years agoI'm working on an online edit and having a problem batch capturing my offline media from an imported EDL. The EDL Came from a Avid Media Composer system and imported into Final Cut Studio 2 no problem, however when I go to Batch capture the media it can't seem to find the proper timecode. What it does do is rewind the tape roughly 20 MINUTES before the clip occurs then plays the tape NORMAL Sby Jeff Kuss - Café LA |
