No audio?? - 13 years agowhen you say you got a gray square... did you create a button in DVDSP and link that to your video track? the gray square makes me think that you left the menu blankby bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: OT - What's a half hour show length these days? - 13 years agoThe Hills on MTV is <20mins... but that's probably more due to the content lol It varies show to show even with the same broadcaster. The last two shows I worked on for E! were 21:30 and 22:30. It all depends on the ad $'s.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: Devil's Advocate asks: Why bother with Color? - 13 years agoThen don't... it doesn't sound like you need Color on this project. The last line of the 4th paragraph reads: "But Apple still sells a MacBook with a FW400 port for $100 less than they did a week ago. " talking about the plastic MB which got a price drop at the time... the plastic MB always retained FW. You're either capturing DV or AIC.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: 'Current Settings' Quicktime needs to be rendered in timeline - 14 years agoSince you're working with PAL widescreen, you should probably work with the native PAL resolution with anamorphic pixels, not square pixels.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: What do you think of ATI 3870HD (MAC / PC Edition). - 14 years agopretty sure the 4870 will not work with the 2006 MP... I believe you need at least an early 08 MP with PCIe 2.0 and 2 internal power connectors (which means no running 2 cards for additional displays). I'd really like to see some Color and Motion benchmarks between the 3870 and the 4870.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: DVD footage has scan lines - 14 years agoIt may have been a field dominance issue... glad to hear you got it worked out thoughby bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: Vertically stretched & Letter-boxed video? FW will make large data transfeby bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: Win 1 of 10 CalDigit VRs - 14 years agoAwesome... signed up. Um, hey guys... it lists 4TB as one of the capacities. I'm guessing this is a typo since it's a 2 drive enclosure, unless I haven't heard about some 2TB disks arriving soon.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: Self contained movie ProRess422 doesn't export full clip!! - 14 years agoKatrin1980 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > And why does it stop at 2.52? If your sequence settings are set to DV-NTSC, then your titles will look terrible... change the sequence to uncompressed before your final output.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: 59.94seq. & Drop Frame - 15 years agoI don't know why it's graying out the DF check-box. That seems odd although it may be something with the Easy Setup you used. Can you create a custom sequence setting for 59.94 DF rather than 60 NDF? Why is it weird that you get numbers beyond 29? You shot 60p so there are 60 frames for each second (0-59).by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: Motion 3 and Mac Pro - 15 years agomark@avolution Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Could this video card be installed on a Power PC > G5 Dual 2.5Ghz Mac? > > I find the stock one to be kind of slow No, the Dual 2.5Ghz G5 does not have PCI-Express. I'd bet the TV's "Cinema Mode" would have it turned off. The problem is that most of the sets on display at stores like Best Buy have it turned on and some people think it looks cool. It's really unfortunate.by bigbossbmb - Café LA Re: OT: 120hz HDTVs. OY VAY!! - 15 years agoThis is NOT an issue of 120hz televisions! 120hz TVs are great for perfectly reproducing film sources by using a 5:5 pulldown so there are no mixed/interlaced filler frames.
