With any new OS upgrade, update, it's always best to back up the data you have before proceeding, which I think is something that Ben King indicated & frankly is the generally recommended protocol. There are others that lean toward a wait & see approach before upgrading anything & that's also uby JonatCalDigit - Café LA Re: OT: Snow Leopard to go on sale THIS FRIDAY... - 14 years agoOur drivers are IN Snow Leopard....if that clears anything up. We've been pretty busy & I hadn't checked threads on CalDigit til just now. There's no doubt that the LAFCPUG has the market cornered on fantastic FCP moderators Mikey. CalDigit VR Drive modules have an MSRP for 1TB of $249.00 with MAP or Minimum Advertised pricing being lower. As to the CalDigit VR Mini, Summer 09' is our official stance, I'm sorry I can't nail it down to a month or an exact date.by JonatCalDigit - Café LA Re: RAID 1 Experience? - 14 years agoHey Dan, There is no reason that you cannot pull one of the RAID 1 drive modules out of the CalDigit VR and mount it using a 3rd party SATA adapter. However, once this is done, if you put the drive back into the CalDigit VR, the OS will see it as corrupted & you will have to re-format. Many people use this work-flow for simple transfer of digital assets during acquisition. CalDigit has to wait & see what Apple has done with the internal drives RAID set on the new MacPro machines.
