Or all three? Do the pixellations happen at the same places every time? . . . the pixelisation appears on all three . . . i've copy-pasted the timeline into a new sequence in a new project file; maybe i'll QT the material, re-import it and work the single frames out with a blur effect thanks Derek . .by JAMES EFP - Café LA Random pixelisation, single frames - 15 years agoHi all I'm working in HD on FCP 5.14, the sequence is 20 minutes long and contains 4-6 magic bullet filters per clip. I've been working on the sequence for about two weeks, but only over the past two days have i noticed single frames of pixelisation cropping up at random. I've duplicated the project file just in case . . . Does anyone know why it's doing this or what actions should now be tby JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: Strange Vibration in the Footage While Previewing it in the Viewer - 15 years ago. . . maybe run the final edited sequences as quicktimes through the fcp6 shot stabilizer? should smooth it right out.by JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: Force Quits - 15 years agocheers Corbett - all sorted now. the old export clip-re-import then re-apply filters worked a treat. funny though - was handling toon-it no probs . . . thanks again*by JAMES EFP - Café LA Force Quits - 15 years agoHi all . . I'm experiencing a repetitive force quit issue. i've used much heavier combinations of filters in the past 10 months and this problem has not arisen before. The edit section i am trying to render has a number of filters on, including fast de-interlace, 3-way colour, and about 6 magic bullet filters, it's no more that 4 seconds long, i go to render it and FCP force quits, sometimeby JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: Voice-over enhancement - 15 years agoHi Derek the audio was pre-recorded for me, so 'secondary' is all i've got to work with here . . . although i do know the voice was recorded on a high quality mic, in a living roomby JAMES EFP - Café LA Voice-over enhancement - 15 years agoHi all I'm in the process of adding voice-over to a project, does anyone have any tips as to what i'd do to give the audio a fuller more 'sumptuous' feel? I'm using FCP 5.2 and soundtrack proby JAMES EFP - Café LA Sapphire Plugins FCP - 15 years agoHi all Getting to grips with the Sapphire plugins, and i'm wondering if anyone may know which filter/s were used to create the following look . . . . . . its the second picture down, on the left side of the page (car shot) Cheersby JAMES EFP - Café LA PHOTOSHOP meets FINAL CUT 5 - 15 years agoHi I've exported a still via quicktime conversion to work on in photoshop, i then import the doctored png file into final cut (5) and line it up to composite over the moving image, but the png still of the moving shot is of a darker colour thus not helping for a seamless match I've tried colour correction but it still doesn't match as if it was the exact same shades does anyone know whyby JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM - FLASHBACK EFFECT - 15 years agoI've looked online, checked all the trailers, can't seem to find anything . .by JAMES EFP - Show and Tell THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM - FLASHBACK EFFECT - 16 years agoDoes anyone know what technique / package was used to create the texture on the scenes where Bourne starts having flashbacks, recollecting memories of his introduction and training?by JAMES EFP - Show and Tell Re: Keyframe copy/paste - 16 years ago. . . then just add an additional keyframe? little extra time, no need to cut and paste . . .by JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: Keyframe copy/paste - 16 years agoPaste attributes 'basic motion' - it'll take the keyframes across. If the keyframes are in a filter, also paste the filter attributes . . .by JAMES EFP - Café LA GRAPHIC ISSUE - HELP! - 16 years agoI'm editing in DV using graphics prepped in photoshop and exported as png files (titles logos etc) When the playhead is still over the file in the timeline it looks crisp, as it did when created in photoshop, but once rendered and under a moving playhead the pixels seem to shift slightly and it looks as though the resolution drops - the graphic title looks awful, poor quality I did not haveby JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: AUDIO CLICKING - HELP! - 16 years agoThanks for the reply Michael, I've tried increasing the number of real time audio tracks and have adjusted the audio playback settings to no avail, the audio rates of the sound files and sequence settings are also the same . . .by JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: AUDIO CLICKING - HELP! - 16 years agoI'm monitoring both timelines using AJA Kona and a Mackie 1202-vlsPro mixer. The master audio is clean, the noise is not on the tapes. I'm working with 6 to 14 audio tracks, using wavs as well as aiffs, some audio effects have been exported to quicktime with FCP audio filters then re-imported. The origin of the clicking seem to stem from the beginning and end of audio cross fades . .by JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: AUDIO CLICKING - HELP! - 16 years agono, i don't have a mic on! another editor in the studio here also gets this audio clicking problem. I'm currently working in DV, my last project was HD though and that was fine, no clicks. anyone experienced problems with the latest quicktime update regards audio?by JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: AUDIO CLICKING - HELP! - 16 years agoThanks again for the ideas, I've checked all settings mentioned and tried out these suggestions but still no success. My several layers of audio with db transitions have so much crackling and pops that it sounds like mild vynil noise in places any other reasons or remedies out there?by JAMES EFP - Café LA Re: AUDIO CLICKING - HELP! - 16 years agoThanks for the reply as far as i'm aware i am not mixing sampling rates, in some cases i am using a reverb filter, but the clicking does not appear to be confined to clips with or without filters . . .by JAMES EFP - Café LA AUDIO CLICKING - HELP! - 16 years agoHi there - and yes i've checked the FAQ! I'm using AIFFs not mp3s, and the audio render mixdown does not remedy the clicking. It clicks primarily at the start or end of an audio cross fade, usually both. On a previous project the audio was clean, the clicks seem to come and go, or come and stay. any suggestions on how to irradicate these annoying audio spoilers would be greatly appreciatedby JAMES EFP - Café LA |
